Wow. I am so glad to see NON in this set. His backstory is truly sad. His mind is not his own.

got 2 cases

Posted by: bp29 on 11/2/2011 5:37:45 AM
Starboy's Trait is awsome. I woul much rather play him than Starman any day. Nerfing HSS, Charge or Runshot and an effective 19 def at range.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 10/16/2011 10:38:41 AM
I got just about everything I wanted from a single brick of Superman. Awesome. Now I just need to build some kick-ass teams to win Manhunter Grandmaster and Superman Beyond. And buy a couple boosters to get Darkseid.

ok i have a question, I bought 3 boosters and 2 of them had robot superman in it...i dont need 2 so how much do u think they're worth??

also i got Kal is he a chase figure?

Posted by: whitephoenixofthecrown on 9/30/2011 1:50:04 PM
I really wanted to like this set... i was really excited for it... but i just bought my first two boosters... and they were clones... of not at all exciting pieces... the only difference being one had robot superman in it... off to a bad start indeed...

Posted by: Logan on 9/28/2011 7:36:53 PM
@ Sir Christopher - I like your angle on this :-)-

Posted by: Ianator on 9/25/2011 7:10:17 PM
I like superman beyond. A superman that is not a one man Army and more of a team player, as far as points, is nice for a change. The 5 Range sucks. A 7 Would have been nice with the late dial HSS. The damage is a little lacking. I would have liked once he lost Perplex to bump the damage to 4 for 2 clicks as at that point he can not get extra damage from using an object

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 9/25/2011 9:36:07 AM
I was expecting more from Supe Beyond... much more! UNLIKE! I was hoping for a more Range brute than anything since he detonated a missle from across town w/ his heat vis. from the Batman Beyond "The Call" episode if I remember... But still getting the case :-)- This may be my 3rd and last case though, unless my local comic store gives me the OP kit as mentioned... I may consider other cases in the future if this would be so.

Posted by: Ianator on 9/25/2011 12:22:00 AM
@sirchristopher, Zibarro is an LE. you win him during tournements. I looked at the LE dail for superman beyond and was some what dissapointed. anyone else felt like that?

Posted by: GAranda on 9/23/2011 9:25:44 PM
ZIBARRO? Seriously? I hope I do not get this character. He only redeaming trait is the outwit

Posted by: Sirchristopher on 9/23/2011 10:41:01 AM
If Bizarro is a backwards Superman, then Zibarro is a backwards Bizarro. Sensitive, intelligent, and... powerless.
On Bizarro World, only one out of billions has the mental abilities of a normal human being. This Bizarro introduces himself to Superman as Zibarro. Although Zibarro resembles Superman, he has no apparent powers. He helps Superman to escape from Bizarro world, unselfishly giving up his own chance to do so. However, Superman promises to return to rescue him.
Zibarro's suit looks like a modified version of Superman's suit with "Z" on the chest.

got this from comicvine

@whitephoenixofthecrown: Superman HeroClix was delayed a couple months ago. The final release date is September 28th, the same day as Halo HeroClix.

Posted by: The Le on 9/14/2011 12:16:43 PM
does anyone ACTULY know when its coming out? is it the 14th 28th or what. I've checked about a million sites and they all say different things...

Posted by: heroclix fan on 9/11/2011 5:46:40 PM
On most maps, Supes would probably get the first hit in and secure his victory. However, if he fails to roll a 6 or better, or if IM/WM make their Impervious, then they'll blast him back to Krypton during their turn.

Posted by: Batarang96 on 9/11/2011 12:36:09 PM
Who do you think would win?
Iron man/War machine or 300 pt superman

Posted by: joe on 9/11/2011 4:44:58 AM
I think the Doomsday looks very good for under 200 points especially with good movement and indom. And Bizarro will be a very good sealed figure, and even constructed. Oh and Sir Christopher they won't be able to roll shape change he has Battle fury as part of his trait.

Posted by: moonknight101 on 9/10/2011 12:59:45 PM
Doomsdays dial and abilities look good. the sculpt looks like Bane joined AIM. I can see where STEADY COURSE TO METROPOLIS might have players misusuing it. The power states that "When using Charge, he ignores other characters and terrain for movement purposes except walls and indoor blocking terrain." This means that he has to be able to use Charge and have a target to attack at the end of his charge. THis power does not allow him to ignores other characters and terrain for movement purposes except walls and indoor blocking terrain if he is not using Charge.

I wonder how this plays out if the opposing character rolls Shape Change thus making that character not a legitimate target for attack?

I would assume that STEADY COURSE TO METROPOLIS would allow Doomsday to autobreak away if he is able to use Charge.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 9/10/2011 12:52:19 PM
Looking good in every turn :-)-

Posted by: Ianator on 9/10/2011 11:08:02 AM
i mostly like marvel but i want lots of these figures

Posted by: heroclix fan on 9/10/2011 9:48:34 AM
oh i deff need a case of this!

Posted by: mario on 9/8/2011 7:46:28 PM
Looks like this is case worthy! My 3rd case if ever... the first was WOS, then Street Fighter then if ever this one.

Posted by: Ianator on 9/8/2011 6:05:15 PM
I agree w/ Sir Christopher re: Parasite, but wish Power Drain were a Trait.

7 Deadly Bros can be interesting, but fielding 7+ is a waste. Even with the +1 stat modifier, it is too easy to one-shot an individual Bro, thereby negating the benefit. They are not a bad low-cost "generic" for Martial Artists theme teams, 'cause lord knows Martial Artists teams need all the help they can get !?! ;]

Posted by: Hodak on 9/8/2011 5:53:35 AM
At last a Parasite that is actually done right. Could it be that the designer's actually started to read the comics and created Special Powers with some thought behind them?

It could just be a mistake though

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 9/7/2011 3:11:49 PM
I'm confused with the Seven Deadly Brothers. If there is seven of them a player should not have more then 7 on his team. It's like having the the wondertwins finding that they are actually 2 of a batch of triplets but still going as the wonder twins. I would like it if wizkids would put out a 3 or 4 booster pack of just these guys. I don't plan on buying a case in an attempt to get seven of these GRUNTS to play. It also would be 210 pts which is a large chunck to commit to a 300pt build with no exlpiot and only 1 click of Close Combat Expert andunless you have 7 on the board they can't touch a character with Invol or Imperv. I feel that giving them a reduced cost for playing more the 1 would have been better.

Posted by: Sirchristopher on 9/7/2011 3:09:01 PM
I'd bet money that there will be another version of the Seven Deadly Brothers with the remaining three styles of Kung Fu on their dials that work with these guys. And Parasite is gross! He's well built even without power stealing outwit!

@Hodak,

In the future womyn will hide their faces and cover all portions of their bodies except their exposed cleavage in an attempt to avoid eye contact.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 9/6/2011 3:18:07 PM
Love the Seven Deadly Brothers. All my 300 point battles from now on will involve either 10 Seven Deadly Brothers or 7 Seven Deadly Brothers and Dhalsim or Balrog.

Posted by: RCat on 9/6/2011 3:01:08 PM
You mean I have to have 7 of these guys to play the figure the way he's represented in the comics?????

UGH!

When does this set come out man!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: theo on 9/5/2011 11:02:33 PM
@TheYellowFear In the comics, Cyborg Superman keeps being 'reborn' if you will as various machines. He used to blame Superman for his condition, and hence wanted to kill him or, barring that, destroy his reputation. But over time he simply wanted to die. But everytime he dies he gets brought back, recently by the manhunters. So the power works like autoregen, except you can't take a power action to use it. Because he would never willingly heal himself. Comic accurate!

Posted by: mbZero on 9/4/2011 6:05:38 PM
How could they screw up composite superman he was a beast in the comics!

Posted by: Mario on 9/4/2011 4:18:07 AM
earthman just neutralized cosmic spidey thay 14 speed is fantastic when you cant use any standard speed powers, no hss, no running shot no charge for those cosmic superpowered colossals ither my new number 1 cosmic nulifier

Posted by: deadpool77 on 9/3/2011 8:01:49 PM
Who the hec is composite Superman??

Posted by: Owlman166 on 9/3/2011 6:21:45 AM
Composite Superman? Yes please and thank you. If they were going to do a Superman (/Legion too if you think about it) set release, this guy is a part of the mythos of Superman/Batman (and again/Legion). I remember his origin story from way, way back in the day. Feels good knowing that he will be represented for the first time in a DC clix set. Well done boys and girls!

Posted by: Danzig01 on 9/3/2011 5:09:12 AM
STARMAN!! YES!

Posted by: Preacher13 on 9/2/2011 11:23:42 AM
@The Yellow Fear, What "But I want to die..." means is that you can only use regeneration once per turn. If they did not tack on the "but can't otherwise use it through this power" you would have people using this power as many times in a row as they wanted until they got a result that took them off of the power. Its worded this way to keep people from abusing it.

Posted by: japete61 on 9/2/2011 9:39:47 AM
I want Composite Superman purely because he looks so f'ed up. Having Batman Ally and Superman Ally team abilities on one guy is wonderful.

@The Yellow Fear: I believe it lets you use Regeneration as a free action at the beginning of your turn, but that's it. You can't give him a power action to use Regeneration via But I Want to Die, even if he still has it after the free action usage.

Posted by: RCat on 9/2/2011 9:35:38 AM
This set keeps getting better and better. I'm definatly buying a brick of this. BTW can someone help me make sense of Manhunter Grandmaster special defense power: BUT I WANT TO DIE? It seems a little wordy.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 9/2/2011 8:09:32 AM
I want lobo

Posted by: heroclix fan on 9/1/2011 7:10:28 PM
@SirChristopher. Lobo's Hook, Line and Massacre, as written, lets you attempt to hook someone, then make a Close Combat attack. If Lobo is adjacent to an opposing character after the attempt, he can CC. If not, then he can't.

And I really like how the LoSH really seem to be helping each other out. Dawnstar with Saturn Girl, HSS out with an 11 (maybe 12) attack, run back next to Invisible Kid, get Stealth. Princess Projectra, give Superboy some Super Senses. Karate Kid, hang out with Brainiac 5 for some Tougness. Team players...

Posted by: dairoka on 8/31/2011 7:35:09 PM
Lobo's Hook, Line and Massacre may cause some arguements on how it is worded. "On any result, you may then make a close combat attack." I as see it after you try to us the power you get to make a close combat attack. But what if there are no legitament targets to attack? Does this power count as an attack? Not how it is worded which means Shapechange does not work to prevent the movement of the other character. Also with LAZY DOG it appears that his damage could be locked at 0 if a one is rolled. Wondering if Lobo looses this power and then gains it back does he rerole the power

Posted by: Sirchristopher on 8/29/2011 3:26:40 PM
I like Matter Eater Lad, a nice, playable, cheap wildvard figure!!

Not too impressed with Princess Projectra's dial. She will fit nicely on a Cleavage Theme team, however!! ;)

Posted by: Hodak on 8/29/2011 11:03:55 AM
@WhtGoliath. Yes, this is an LE from the Prize Kit.

I will have one, and I will place a tiny Sinestro Corp symbol over that S. He will be my new SC tentpole.

Posted by: Dairoka on 8/28/2011 5:48:35 PM
Manhunter Grandmaster is now on my list. Totally digging some of these previews... the downfall is that they add to the hunt for plasti-crack.

Posted by: MEsch on 8/28/2011 5:11:45 PM
do you realy want a 300 pt superman running around with 100 pts worth of support when he already has outwit or even to 150 pt supermen with support figs and still outwit between both of them i realy dont thats why i dont want 400 pts but thats just me.

Posted by: hamhawk on 8/28/2011 11:41:38 AM
I agree with JasonCR. I can see our venue increasing the build total to at least 400pts. in order to be able to have our booster draft.

Posted by: Danzig01 on 8/28/2011 5:27:17 AM
I think the figures are pretty cool! The only thing is the points that they cost, it'll be so difficult to build the force only at 300pts!

Posted by: JasonCR on 8/27/2011 2:17:58 PM
not to nock dc but i like marvel a little better and this figures dial looks good but over all i'm not excited at all.

Posted by: sgtfury on 8/27/2011 5:33:06 AM
I'm a little curious, 'Manhunter Grandmaster' is figure #102 in the new Superman set. So, correct me if I'm wrong, that makes him a LE that can only be found in an OP kit?

Posted by: WhtGoliath on 8/26/2011 6:35:28 PM
It seems odd that Manhunter Grandmaster is not a Superman Enemy, doesn't it? I know he's basically a GL villain, these days, but that is an evil 'S' on his chest.

Posted by: dittobeetle on 8/26/2011 11:34:44 AM
@Ace Mclaren: It is in my opinion that the Superman HeroClix set will sell out very quickly, possibly within the first 30 days. Since it's unlikely that we'll get more DC HeroClix until late 2012 (at earliest), I recommend picking up as much Superman Boosters as you can.

Posted by: The Le on 8/26/2011 11:02:20 AM
So I wonder if they will print more manhunters because of his ability in this set. Pretty sick fig makes me want to order at least a case if not more but I dont know if thatll be worth it with all the doubles lol

Posted by: Ace Mclaren on 8/26/2011 10:51:51 AM
Manhunter Grandmaster looks great. I think he will be a very good LE to win and the opening clixs of doing 6 or 5 damage is very dangerous. His only weakness I see is the 6 range. Looking forward to this see more and more.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 8/26/2011 10:07:31 AM
Cyborg sups and phalanx solders oh yea

Posted by: Chris nealy on 8/26/2011 7:39:46 AM
Darkseid shall be epic, but eradicator looks pretty neat. anyway, I just want nore AOA X-men. Fun to pit them against My Nemesis....

Can't wait for darkseid

Posted by: Jo on 8/24/2011 6:50:32 PM
Earth Man will be great on my Green Lantern themed team. He can knock out Cosmic Spidey's hyper speed and then I'll just use Green Lanterns with lots of move and attack and penetrating damage. Bye, Bye, mister overpowered 319 point monster!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 8/24/2011 8:15:49 AM
Wow! That Lobo is a heck of alot better than the one from Justice League. It's nice to see a character with a healing trait like Wolverine's with more than six clixs of life and on top of it he has plenty of damage reduction powers. I hope they give the Hulk the same trait in the next Marvel set.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 8/24/2011 8:10:09 AM
Earthman is definatly a counter to cosmic spidey. Loving it

Posted by: Chris nealy on 8/23/2011 11:09:38 AM
Swamp-Thing looks great for stealth stomping, he's going to fit nice with my Doctor Strange.

Posted by: Aleps on 8/17/2011 12:03:34 PM
As bad@ss as LOBO looks, I actually added Maxwell Lord to my list for this set.

@ The: Max Lord was dead, but not only rode as a Black Lantern in Blackest Night, but remained alive and well through Brightest Day, tormenting the JLI... great read.

Posted by: MEsch on 8/17/2011 11:47:38 AM
I hope Wizkids/NECA have already realized that another name for Hook, Line and Massacre is "GET OVER HERE!" when Scorpion from Mortal Kombat is created, wink, nudge.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 8/17/2011 10:10:32 AM
@ hair10. No errata needed. If Lobo uses H,L,&M on someone and misses, he can still make a Close Combat Attack if there is someone already next to him. The Power does not say "...you may then make a close combat attack against that target", just that you can make a CCA.

Posted by: dairoka on 8/17/2011 9:39:59 AM
I'm liking Lobo. Good damage potential and possible staying power for the points. Wish he was a duo (since Dawg is with him!).

The only problem is that I already see a clarification/errata needed on that damage SP. It seems to be implying that Lobo can make a cose combat attack against a target that Hook,Line,Massacre missed on... even though that fig wouldn't be adjacent to Lobo!

Posted by: hair10 on 8/17/2011 8:49:07 AM
Wow, Lobo is pretty awesome! And he's only a Rare so he won't be so hard to get (I hope!). Auto Regen trait like Wolverine? Sure, why not!

Posted by: rwint1968 on 8/17/2011 8:45:22 AM
That Darksied sculpt looks amazing! Now all we need is a modern age Thanos in the next Marvel set and we are in business!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 8/15/2011 12:32:40 PM
This set is looking so promising. I must have Black Adam and Superman.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 8/14/2011 11:51:08 PM
I'm super excited about this set! Black Adam is just a beast and that Darksied is simply amazing, but I'm really hoping for some Female Furies(although very unlikely)

Posted by: Raven la Beau on 8/13/2011 12:31:47 AM
Just to chime in. As observation, theme has more to do with the rarity in this set. power level is irrelavent. all star supes. is else worlds, and pretty popular. If his rarity is scaled back to 1 per brick as a common. I'm all for it. Just so I'm getting 1-2 of the Kryptonian soldier, and infiltrator. How many times have people cried and whinned about the power houses, and cool figs always being sr's.

Posted by: bgreyloc on 8/12/2011 7:26:46 PM
ya i guess thats true Ste, its just to bad it has to come down to that

Posted by: whitephoenixofthecrown on 8/11/2011 3:16:50 PM
@Ste: so basically what ur saying is as long as they have a cool sculpt they should be supers and commons should be able to beat them just as easily for the same point value. They should be harder to get for a reason, cuz of their power and playability not on their sculpt I play the game to play not buy them and just set them aside

Posted by: Jeris on 8/10/2011 10:01:29 PM
@ whitephoeinixofthecrown, its called planned obsolition_ or power creep as its known in the wargaming community. how else are they going to get people excited about another superman after how many times he's been done before.
dont get me wrong im not complaining just pointing out fact. hellway i see it is if it wasnt for power creep we never would have got a more acurate captain america

Posted by: Ste on 8/10/2011 2:11:40 PM
Well i mean that most of the older figures are harldy playable anymore. Figures that used to be considered powerful are now pathetic compared to the new ones. For example the new black adam i think is overestimated.

Posted by: whitephoenixofthecrown on 8/9/2011 4:05:23 PM
@whitephoenixofthecrown What do you mean?

Posted by: The Le on 8/9/2011 2:12:51 PM
These figures are cool but does anyone else besides me think that wizkids is getting to carried away with new dials?

Posted by: whitephoenixofthecrown on 8/9/2011 2:07:46 PM
@ Jeris, personally i dont think a super rare should be any more playable than a common. they shouldnt be making anything underpointed based on its rarity.
Rarity should just cover points like complexity of sculpt and the popularity of the character.

@ spider-man, yes a common superman that is an absolute nightmare, as he should be, cant say im happy about it tho_ my god sealed with this set is gonna get very repetative very quickly

Posted by: Ste on 8/8/2011 9:29:22 AM
Wow black Adam is...bad! So a 300 point common can take on a 300 point super, that's dumb. I mean I'm used to common things can be good but not devastating, they really need to start making a difference between commons to supers

Posted by: Jeris on 8/7/2011 10:38:08 AM
A Superman with out wit on his first clix? Five damage, hyper speed, and impervious? And he's a common? Yes please!

just wait a minute...now we're getting a World of New Krypton Superman? If you'd all check out the bus-stop Superman from DC 75th and you'd see that THAT clix was based off of his WoNK appearance...and not in his military garb. NOW we get this? Oooook...at least we're getting a new Dark Superman!

just reallized that zod is the perfect candidate for contingency plan, putting him at 200 points, using him with the other phantom zone people would probably be rediculous, boosting range or attack or speed

Definitely like Inhumans, CSA, and Kingdom Come. (As long as they're relatively AFFORDABLE.)

Posted by: Owlman166 on 7/30/2011 6:52:17 AM
This is the sickest set yet,I want to see alot of figures from DC and Marvel that hopefully are in the works soon such as ULTIMATE THOR,MR SINISTER,BLACKBOLT and some more updated INHUMANS,more of SINESTROS CORPS,THANOS,BIG BARDA and The FEMALE FURIES,DRAX,THE CSA,KINGDOM COME,There's a bunch more still great set can't wait hopefully the HULK set is real. What everyone else out there wanting to see.

im buying like 3 bricks lol

Posted by: mario psnmario on 7/29/2011 6:27:28 AM
@logan,
this wouldnt happen in the first place, as per the rules on feats, only 10 percent of your force can be feats... in a 300 point game that is way more feats than 30 points, and superman would still win anyhow :P

Posted by: kaknu8860 on 7/28/2011 8:45:06 PM
I thjnk it's funny how next to no one is talking about the superman dial. if outwit scares you that bad, smash it with your superman!

Posted by: bgreyloc on 7/28/2011 5:39:32 AM
That is a FANTASTIC idea that Wizkids needs to know about. Outwit will bone supermen in this set. 300 points is useless when one outwit can essentially nullify him. Kryptonian ATA will be essential. I love this idea.

Posted by: Blake B on 7/26/2011 2:59:34 PM
TNate, that is an awesome idea for the Kryptonian ATA.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 7/26/2011 10:25:59 AM
I want to see darksied and the fash dials.

Posted by: joe on 7/25/2011 2:20:40 PM
@Blue Hope: After a close look at the first image, Flash appears to be either a common or a normal rare. The piece number looks like #043 so I expect him to be a rare.

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/25/2011 9:48:38 AM
I would like to see a Kryptonian ATA
When a character using this team ablity's defense is outwitted instead of the normal effects Impervious becomes Invulnerable, Invulnerable becomes Toughness, and Toughness becomes SOL.

Posted by: TNate on 7/25/2011 4:12:27 AM
Does anyone know the rarity on that Flash?

Posted by: The Blue Hope on 7/25/2011 3:57:14 AM
I know the set is originally scheduled for a September release, but does anybody know if that's going to hold up? It seems most sets seem to get about a month delay

Posted by: haljordan2814.01 on 7/25/2011 3:38:55 AM
Darkseid emerging from a Boom Tube! Cool!! All the sculpts look imaginative and exciting, even though I don't recognize some of the characters.

Posted by: Spudeus on 7/24/2011 10:47:53 AM
@Logan

It could be pretty even but Supes can still outwit Thor's flight or indomitable. By the way, Thor doesn't qualify for Shellhead because of Indomitable (Shellhead prerequisite is standard defense symbol).

Besides, If Thor gets the first hit in(assuming Imperv fails) Supes is still HSS with 9 speed, 12 AV super strength, 17 invul 4 damage. It will likely be a RS attack so he might get the bonus to AV but it's unlikely he'll be able to use Blood Oath for the penetrating close combat attack.

If Supes gets first hit in, Thor will need to use protected and push, still leaving Supes at the values mentioned. Supes pushes and hits Thor who is down to 8 Charge, 10 Quake/Superstrength, 17 invul, 4 damage. At this point, Thor can't catch up to Supes.

So yeah, Supes would take this one even with all those feats.

Posted by: Borgy on 7/24/2011 9:53:21 AM
Hypothetical Scenario

Superman 001 (300pts)

vs.

HOT 016 Thor +
Fortitude
Protected
Shellhead
Blood Oath
Vendetta (special rule to allow it)
Armor Piercing
Lunge (300pts)

(or some other combination of feats to even out pts between the two).

fun game or imbalanced?

Posted by: Logan on 7/24/2011 1:12:00 AM
This Superman is from 'All-Star Superman', correct? Otherwise I have no idea what the powers are in reference too.

Posted by: Logan on 7/24/2011 12:09:30 AM
@mario psnmario: Anche il mio : )

Posted by: omoud on 7/23/2011 12:22:13 PM
Just a note guys: This is not an Alter Ego mechanic (which uses an orange starting line); This Superman has a multiple starting line (as in the rule book), meaning you can choose either the full 300 point dial or the 6-click 150 point version for your force build. Just like the colossals with multiple starting line(i.e. Antimonitor or GSX Sentinel Mark V), you can't heal past it.

Posted by: Borgy on 7/23/2011 8:05:58 AM
this is going to be my fav set EVER! please don't disappoint me lol

Posted by: calvin on 7/22/2011 11:46:16 AM
I am still not thrilled they are wasting figure slots for Flashpoint characters. Those slots could be for good characters that we know and have been around. Not some alternate versions of know characters. But I am really liking that Supes dial. Even if you use the AE it looks like you still end up with a decent Supes after that change.

I would like to see the Crime Syndicate redone.Maybe an Ultra Man would make it's way into this set,it is long overdue.

Posted by: rkc1987 on 7/10/2011 7:10:43 PM
Ah...after a little google-fu I am forced to accede to the wisdom of the two posters who corrected me...itt does look like the supes beyond version (I need to watch that show again...to netflix!) after reviewing the son of supes costume it is similar but obviously different...there goes my hopes for the human/kryptonian hybrid luthor :(

however I am still hoping for a Red Son supes...especially after seeing all the russian themed figs in the cap america set.

Posted by: HepatitvsJ on 7/8/2011 8:13:04 PM
The Black and White Costume Superman is from The Batman Beyond animated and comic series.

Posted by: Rider Kick on 7/8/2011 9:34:34 AM
@Hepatitvsj It's actually Superman from Batman Beyond which also made the jump to DCU proper in an issue of Superman/Batman and a one-shot. But, God, I hope it's not a chase as the Batman Beyond in AA was a common.

Posted by: Borgy on 7/5/2011 10:41:13 PM
I'm going to call the black/white superman now as a SR/Chase representing supes from the "Son of Superman" graphic novel. That is what the costume looks like to me...which makes me excited for a son of supes figure and a human/kryptonian hybrid luthor! (seriously...if you havent read the comic it's a good time)

Posted by: Hepatitvsj on 7/4/2011 1:53:42 AM
This set looks awesome... I'd say that I can't wait, but after the Captain America set I'm going to need some time to save up money.

I do want to say though... everyone keeps saying that the black & white Kal is the "Batman Beyond" version, but since we know that "Reign of the Supermen" is a strong sub-theme in this set, I wonder if it's actually supposed to be the 'just resurrected' Superman. Either way would be pretty cool though.

Also, I'm definately appreciating the Legion love that Wizkids is giving us.

Posted by: Charlemagne on 5/30/2011 3:29:26 PM
Great, another set of computer generated graphics that bear little to no resemblance to the level of (poor) quality miniatures that actually come out of the box. How are people still fooled by this? I'll start buying them again when they start producing hih quality miniatures again. Vote with your wallets people.

Posted by: Gerlad on 5/13/2011 5:43:57 PM
@Webslinger14 Yeah because everyone knows who Next wave is. C'mon really. The legion has been a major part of superman since the 60's at least. They have 2 books out now. Viva heroclix

Posted by: Battlinbichon on 5/11/2011 5:43:32 AM
Really, this is the best Wizkids has left. Aside from Luthor, Superman, and Flash, (all repeats of repeats of repeats) I've never heard of these guys. True I'm not a huge DC buff, much more Marvel, but honestly, I'm not seeing myself buying any of these based on this.

Is heroclix running out of characters to make? I would argue that yes, maybe they are.....

If you like these guys great, but I think that as far as attracting new players, this may be a weaker set, aside from Superman being DC's main guy.

Posted by: Webslinger14 on 5/10/2011 3:18:40 PM
I want that Flash to be my first one. It looks awesome. I'd also love a Barry Allen from 75, the normal one, not the white lantern.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 5/10/2011 12:25:06 PM
I was really hoping for a pure Flashpoint set so the Rogues could all get better clix...I mean Capt. Cold is due.

From the looks of the side of the orange box, we're getting a Superman from Batman Beyond in the set.

i can see that lex being an ae into a 4 click with invulnerability and supersenses special power for 2 clicks, and then just toughness for rest of the dial, with like rediculous stats for his (wanting to say like 70) points, and outwit as a trait, maybe a lil perplex.

Sweet, the legion is in the house. Hope to see Blok but with Sunboy I already got a major want. Flash and supes look great too. Nice.

well played NECA...well played. You now have all my money. God forbid you make a chase All-Star Superman sitting on a cloud...i'll have to get a second job. Isn't that sad?

i do not like most superman figures or sets exept crisis superman with the grey bricks but these figures look very good and that is a unusually weird sculpt for the flash

okay so The Flash looks kinda cool but I gotta say MATTER EATER LAD, you shall all rue the day he came into exisistance.

Excellent.
Supes and LoSH look cool.
Does "Flashpoint" mean maybe a new Captain Cold?
Any confirmation a Silver Banshee clix?

That Luthor looks very All-Star Superman - if so, that's great. I'd love to see some figures from that storyline. Nice looking Flash, too.

this look like an awesome set and can just point out the batman beyond version of superman in the right hand corner of one of the boosters, can't wait !!!

I like the idea of including the brick figure in a booster as well. Seems like Flashpoint's going to get better clix treatment than Blackest Night, and that saddens me. NECA/WK REALLY missed the mark on that stroyline...

(if this is accurate) I like the new Brick payout. This gives people who don't or can't buy a full brick a 1-in-10 shot of still getting a Brick Fig. Very nice. I like it. Matter Eater Lad is great, and I'm looking forward to modding Superman with a tiny snapping chain across his chest.

Yeah we finally get (hopefully) better Legion of Superheros!!! After the ban of the starter in Modern Age I'll be happy to play them in the release game
