Your Comments:
So, the LCS where I play most often was behind in getting in their order for IIM. In fact they got it so late that it arrived the week before SLOSH was released.

I have gotten some pretty sweet pulls. This week in one booster I pulled Grey Gargoyle - now I can use the revert on my FI powered up Grey Gargole - and Detroit Steel(I needed a total of 4 of the 5 pieces I got in the booster). Why is Detroit Steel a great pull? Because the piece is physically imposing to the point that I convinced my fellow players next week will be "Robot Wars". Yes, Detroit Steel is more of a Gundam than a robot. So the rules are this. All pieces must have the Robot, Armor, or Armored keywords. Any carded set (makes checking keywords easier). Yeah, we might see a Gypsy Danger piece, but why not allow it? Robots fighting robots! What could be better?

Posted by: superfriend on 3/26/2014 9:53:49 AM
Played in a sealed IIM event over the weekend. The Controller with Sasha Hammer and a Hammer Drone both using the ATA did OK. Controller having free action mind control was very cool when I could make it work. The only issue I had was that the ATA perplex does not effect damage, so Sasha and the Drone cannot have their damage erplexed up to 3 to take out a wall.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/26/2013 7:28:09 AM
Just bought a booster and pulled a Rare, Super Rare, and a Prime, + Iron Man 001, and Hammer Drone, I was hoping for a Ring as well "Oh well" I'll probely never pull this well again .

Posted by: The Wanderer on 11/23/2013 2:43:17 PM
OK, I am loving this set. It is a DRASTIC change from previous set because they seem to finally be realizing that we already have 50 Iron Men. So after pulling one Iron Man, one Tony Stark and a War Machine I got tons of villains! Cheesy villains! Awesome villains! Mobsters! I think there's more villains and Thunderbolts in this set than there were in Sinister, especially percentage-wise. I could not be happier whether it's long-awaited guys like Melter and Unicorn or badly needed remakes such as Hyperion, Controller and Count Nefaria.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/21/2013 10:49:00 PM
I was hoping that this set would have the cast of Marvel 1602 in it, or at the least have Iron Man from it. Maybe next Marvel set.

Posted by: Spazcat on 11/21/2013 7:37:26 AM
Maybe a hint at the who the villan might be for IM4 Lance.

Posted by: The Wanderer on 11/20/2013 12:40:19 PM
Iron Monger 2.0 - love the explosives power. Speaking of whcih, we could really use explosives as a special object. I'm sure Shield or Checkmate has explosives.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/20/2013 7:31:36 AM
I don't know about Best Set Ever, but despite feeling we've been over run with Iron Man himself already and I certainly could skip out on Pepper Pots and another Tony Stark, I'm pretty pumped for most of this set. Looking forward to picking some up later this week!

Yes, the full set is supposed to be out Wednesday. Some local stores seem to not get new sets right away, but hoping at least one will.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/18/2013 7:28:04 AM
Best. Set. Ever!!!!!
i'm a sucker for Marvel's big three and havent been this excited for a set since Cap.
also i really want me that prime Hyperion!

Posted by: Ste on 11/18/2013 3:46:51 AM
King Hyperion is the king of beasts.

Posted by: sinner on 11/17/2013 8:27:41 PM
Pair 208 Aurora with 013 Northstar and you have 155 points of nasty. Add in the Alpha Flight ATA and you there is almost no reason why you should not be attacking at +3 against most figures.

Posted by: Andrewdrexker on 11/17/2013 8:26:22 PM
Just wanted to point out that the Gravity Feed pieces (single packages) are out. A friend and I picked up 2 Guardians and 1 Aurura on Tuesday. We both played Guardian and for 100 points we felt he delivered very well.

Waiting somewhat impatiently for the main set to release.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/15/2013 9:04:59 AM
Hyperion is a beast.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/14/2013 1:43:15 PM
Sasquatch, to me, is a good use of the a/b Prime slot. An alternate version which you can chase if you want, but at the same time does not make you feel like you are missing a character. The primes in Batman were like this (Selina Kyle, Sasha as the Black Queen, Hush pretending to be Bruce Wayne, and another Batman). But in Teen Titans they went the other way, withe the primes being different characters: Deathstroke / Ravager and Starfire / Blackfire. I hated missing out on a popular character like Blackfire and a never before made character like that Ravager.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/8/2013 8:25:00 AM
Love that Hammer Drone. Interesting re use of the sculpt for Sasha Hammer.

Posted by: superfriend on 11/5/2013 7:43:26 AM
@The Le: You need to fix the Mastermind (from the Shape Change) on Sasha Hammer on the front page.

Posted by: PassingBy on 11/4/2013 9:30:29 PM
@Andrewdrexler: It's most likely because it's a new ATA. This seems to be their new way of introducing the new ATAs.

Posted by: PassingBy on 10/25/2013 12:24:08 PM
Wow is it me or is Justin Hammer Ian Mckellan?

Posted by: Lance on 10/24/2013 6:04:03 PM
This figure alone makes this set worth it.....

Posted by: stevehudson on 10/24/2013 3:47:40 PM
Odd that they published ATA's on the Absorbing man\Titania AND melter, but not on Puck or Guardian when there is a 4 point Alpha Flight ATA.

Posted by: Andrewdrexler on 10/21/2013 6:18:33 PM
This is why I love this set. Hokey supervillains with tricolor costumes.

Posted by: mr.craigosaurus on 10/21/2013 4:25:17 PM
Awesome, it's the Melter! Finally I can make the original Masters of Evil team. Yep, it is an UGLY costume but he seems so dangerous that it just might balance out. Lol. "Shoots Through Anything", "Molten Armor", MoE TA and an ATA for a certain kind of perplex for only 86 points of continuous melting mayhem!

Posted by: Ho1ocau5t on 10/21/2013 2:59:55 PM
Do GF and main set characters often have different keywords? Wondering why Puck doesn't have Martial Artist?

Posted by: Michael on 10/21/2013 10:15:17 AM
Puck should have had his cartwheel charge that bowls over (knocks back)opponents.

Posted by: Buckland on 10/18/2013 9:07:05 PM
@Fang the Javatar: Joe is correct. We've already seen a Classic (Adam West) Batman tv HeroClix set. We've also got a Batman Beyond HeroClix figure and a Superman Beyond figure from the same cartoon. Also have seen Gleek & Wonder Twins (Superfriends). I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of it.

Posted by: The Le on 10/17/2013 6:59:37 AM
@ fang the javatar

they have the batman '66 gf set BASED ON THE BATMAN TV SHOW a DC show

Posted by: Joe on 10/17/2013 6:54:41 AM
@The Wanderer

It would be cool, but they are most likely not going to base heroclix figures off of Marvel and DC TV shows.

Posted by: Fang the Javatar on 10/17/2013 5:55:18 AM
I wish they used the Manndrin from Iron Man Armored Adventures that would be cool right!

Posted by: The Wanderer on 10/17/2013 2:04:03 AM
ok so Puck is one of those funny characters, but I've always kinda liked him. I see this and think for what the plastics worth they could have had more fun with his movement. hope he's better in the main set.

Posted by: a post on 10/15/2013 10:24:31 PM
What the PUCK are you guys talking about? ;)

see what I did there?

Posted by: herpderp on 10/15/2013 8:15:58 PM
Like the look of this set. New alpha flight! Yay!

Can anyone help me decipher Crossbone's power? Look at click 2. If he uses RCE for +2 damage and hits, does he deal 4 or 5 damage? i.e. does the +1 damage from the special power kick in before the first attack's damage is dealt? I'm thinking yes (YIKES!) and he then gets to move 2 squares and make a 12AV 3Dmg attack on top!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 10/15/2013 12:42:13 PM
Crossbones....wicked. Nuff said.

Posted by: Ho1ocau5t on 10/12/2013 7:47:00 PM
Glad to see a new Crossbones. He's always been a love-to-hate character for me in the comics, plus looks like a good sculpt and has the thunderbolts keyword.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 10/12/2013 3:44:49 PM
Crossbones will be awesome for sealed.

Posted by: High Five Ghost on 10/10/2013 3:40:46 PM
Crossbones looks freakin' great.

Posted by: SeekerMuadib on 10/10/2013 2:02:26 PM
Guardian seems ok. Perhaps he should've had a special defense power on the first click granting Invulnerable/Energy Deflection. Maybe the main set will be the Michael Pointer version? So then they could round out the newer Omega Flight and Dark X-Men. We just have wait n' see.

Posted by: Ho1ocau5t on 10/8/2013 4:49:36 PM
I really like this dial for the gravity feed dial of guardian

Posted by: basslion09 on 10/8/2013 4:18:04 PM
Death's Head looks pretty cool, but lacks the excalibur key-word.
Looking like a nice set so far.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 10/4/2013 4:59:50 PM
Fan-freaking-tastic, Death's Head!!!! Now I have another reason to buy some IIM boosters! The first few being a new Titanium Man, Iron Monger and Dreadnaughts. "Side Job" looks like a fun power to abuse, yes?

Posted by: Ho1ocau5t on 10/3/2013 6:47:04 PM
@One of Mandarin's Minions: It's actually funny that you mention that keyword. When I saw the card I was thinking how both necessary and ironic it was since Mandarin isn't one of his own minions, but there wasn't any other way they could have done it.

Posted by: Go Mandarin on 9/27/2013 4:11:49 PM
Ok, I really, really like this mandarin! The trait is awesome, the dial is good. But of all the things I like about him, his first keyword is what really makes me smile. I am going to totally make a mandarin's minions team.

Posted by: One of Mandarin's Minions on 9/27/2013 12:24:45 PM
Liking this set so far. This Mandarin visually looks great and the dial looks fun. Hoping the rings are not too hard to pull.

My concern about remakes is being replaced by a feeling that I will trade off my IM3 pieces so I do not have as many copies.

Posted by: superfriend on 9/27/2013 6:55:11 AM
Solid Mandarin for the point cost, BUT he deserves some type of Mind control spiecal power, perplex, and a better range; 9 maybe 11. I would even argue an upgrade from toughness. Still like him overall. He is Mandarin but please give us THE MANDARIN!!!!!

Posted by: I Guess on 9/26/2013 9:44:22 PM
THIS is the Mandarin!

Posted by: Crazypool on 9/26/2013 11:43:13 AM
Alright A Mandarin!

Second vote for Ultimo!

Posted by: Arachknight on 9/26/2013 10:55:55 AM
We need an Ultimo figure!!!!!!!!

Posted by: imfan on 9/26/2013 3:46:53 AM
From a friend that went to Origins and GenCon, he confirmed that the Titania/Absorbing Man Duo piece will be out of the OP kit for the IM set.

Posted by: TheTechController on 9/21/2013 12:14:00 PM
Finally, THE Iron Monger!! This pose is directly from the comic!

Posted by: Crazypool on 9/20/2013 1:16:58 PM
Iron Monger looks cool, and his diel looks better than older iron monger that I have. Too bad he is a super rare.

As a total shell head, all I can say Is how happy I am to finally get an expansion dedicated to tony, we haven't had one yet in the modern age, and while yes he has had an appearance in every set the past few years this will be the first set dedicated to tony and his rouges, his allies, and the such. I do also agree that we are over due for a 300 thor and a regular 300-350 ( or even a daunting 400) Hulk, but that being said I don't think a 300 point tony is out of the question I am glad to see that Wizkids is give us an IM that can be used as both a solo hero and a team player. I guess im being a little long winded with this, but I only hope to convey my excitement about my favorite hero's set, as well as seeing the new unmade characters like death's head, who recently played a big role in tony's cosmic storyline. Also is it just me or has the prime version of IIM #001b look like it could possibly be colbalt man, when tony was disguised to infiltrate the thunderbolts? either way im super excited to get the armored avenger in all his glory, with a new Stark Industries keyword to boot.

Posted by: basslion_Iron09 on 9/10/2013 12:51:28 PM
I can't help but wonder and hope. If this set ties into AvX does that mean we will be getting another X-men related set after this one comes out, just to even out the AvX team builds, so we can have as many modern X-men as we do Avengers? And before people complain about how we just got WATX I would just like to mention that set tied into Fear Itself which was a set that only had two x-men and twelve avengers. So it would only be fair if we did get a new x-men related set after this iron man one is released.

Say What said "A 300 point Iron Man, come on, guys we don't even have a 300 point Hulk, or Thor. "

Well, I've had a 300 point Iron Man and a 350 point Hulk for a few months now. I was more mad that the first 300 point Iron Man was from the movie set because he is 200 points AT BEST in those flicks. Then again, there is a 200 point Batman now, which really is only correct because Bats rarely loses in the comics even when he fights gods.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 9/2/2013 8:07:07 PM
We need a villains set. Bring on the Bad Guys style. And a new Fantastic Four set which includes The Salem Seven. And Say What, I completely agree with you about a 300 point iron man. Plus it is an old suit that is getting 300 points. Not even any of the new suits he's created (in the comic book)or the heroclix representations could go toe to toe with Thor or Hulk or Superman. (Forget those silly Thor[140 points] and Hulk buster [165 points for and advanced style armor] armors by the way. Give us a 300 point Thor and Regular Hulk (which should really be about a 500 point character).

@The Le: Iron Man has a lot of powers, but Sidestep actually isn't one of them. That is Invincible in the defense slot, though, and you listed Perplex twice.

@henryhyde: trevlor is right. The resource dial stand and one ring will be in the OP kit. The other rings will be in the booster.

When it comes to getting one of the stands I'm not sure how worried we should be. Figures from the recent prize kits have not been that difficult to acquire. If that holds the resource dial from the OP kit may be slightly more in demand but after a little while I doubt we'll see anything approaching an insane price for them.

IS WIZKIDS OUT OF THEIR FRICKEN MINDS!!!!
THIS PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANY OF THIS SET!!!
AHAHHYFYGUFDSIFJ GBSJGBSGREG ERAGR

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 8/27/2013 5:09:57 PM
i believe on HCR, there was something about the stand and 1 ring being the "OP" piece, while the rest of the rings are in boosters. Depending on the distribution of the rings, this could be epic...or an epic headache haha

Posted by: trevlor on 8/27/2013 4:29:00 PM
So do we know whether or not the rings and power stand are going to have a resource dial (i.e. Book of Skulls) or are they just going to be individual relics and the stand is just for display? Have to say I am not a fan of the limited nature of the stand and one ring. As someone who doesn't get to play organized alot, its going to be damn near impossible for me to complete the set if it is a resource.

Posted by: henryhyde on 8/27/2013 8:07:35 AM
A 300 point Iron Man, come on, guys we don't even have a 300 point Hulk, or Thor. Heroclix are getting ridiculous. Iron Man couldn't touch Superman if he stood still. Yet a 300 point clix..smh

Posted by: Say What on 8/27/2013 7:28:58 AM
When is this being released?

Posted by: craigosaurus on 8/26/2013 11:26:12 AM
Heard at Gencon someone saw a Titania and Absorbing Man duo.

Posted by: Adam on 8/17/2013 1:59:46 AM
Love the sculpt of Absorbing Man, can't wait to see how the rest of the Wrecking Crew look. Wonder if will get the Fan Vote Death Head in the Ironman set?

Posted by: MrZombie84 on 8/16/2013 6:51:12 AM
Cool to see a new Absorbing Man to go with the fear itself version.
I'm not familiar with the character of Detroit Steel, but it was a bit of a 40K vibe to it. A conversion may be in order.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 8/5/2013 2:04:35 AM
i hope we get more Peppers!!! /not =P

im excited about the rings of power! hope they are not like getting flocks of bats though...

Posted by: trevlor on 8/4/2013 8:52:55 PM
Detroit Steel? If only the city was broke because of this.

Posted by: kidcaruso on 8/2/2013 9:39:05 PM
Finally a set I don't have to spend money on

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 8/2/2013 4:52:54 PM
The last Stilt Man was awesome in that you could add extra stilts. Unfortunately, he was a unique (old school word for SR), which made getting extra legs hard to do. A new Stiltman with a similar design in a common slot would be awesome.

Posted by: superfriend on 7/31/2013 11:46:07 AM
Am also hoping for some of the targets of the first (and best) Armor War. We have gotten a new Crimson Dynamo and are getting a new Titanium Man in this set.

We need new a Controller, Stilt-Man, Beetle, Guardsmen and Mandroids. We need Mauler, the Raiders, and most of all, FIREPOWER!!! A new Stingray would be nice also.

I'm looking forward to the armors and the Alphans most from this set.

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/24/2013 2:08:22 PM
Iron Man got his own cartoon for a bit in the mid 90's which produced an Iron Man toy line from Toy Biz. It would be cool to see a lot of those characters again.

Posted by: superfriend on 7/24/2013 6:56:44 AM
The other character besides Ironman, Sasquatch is The Dread Knight first appearance in Iron Man Vol 1# 101. I hope they include a melter and Whiplash in this series. Two obscure but very cool villians.

Posted by: Princeoforphans on 7/23/2013 6:39:54 PM
Zoomed in on the solicitation for the GF and you can see Guardian (or Vindicator... they could have him named as one in the set and then other in the GF), Puck, Northstar & Aurora. I'd say the others from Alpha Flight #1 (Shaman, Snowbird, and Marina) are definates for the set.

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/23/2013 3:38:23 PM
Saw the flier for the set and there is a Rescue shown on it (either that or Tony finally topped his idea of putting a nose on the face-plate by putting breasts on a suit). I am really looking forward to this set for both the numerous armors and finally new ALPHA FLIGHT!!!! Just want to see which AF members will be used (obviously Sasquatch). We might get Northstar and Puck out of Wolverine and the X-Men since they are on X-Teams right now.

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/23/2013 3:29:39 PM
Looking at the solicitation flyer and they mention Guardian. Looks like we might be getting some new Alpha Flight sculpts. Yes.

Posted by: Michael on 7/23/2013 2:49:36 PM
@henryhyde idk if wizkids is cutting out the team bases, they may just be skipping this set for it, kinda how hulk and chaos war were sets without a super booster, but galactic guardians was a set with one. Overall I am very pleased to finally have my armored avenger displayed in his own set. Since the 5 year anniversary Tony has had appearances in nearly every marvel set that has been put out, but this is the first set to focus on him and his rouges since the armor wars set. Im hoping for a rescue, zeke stane, and a modern mandarin, one to represent how he was at the end of fractions run. As stoked as I am about the WatXmen set, this Iron man set is the one ive been waiting for since I started playing 4 years ago.

Also appears as if the Gravity Feed price has gone back down to $2.99 (per the retail flyer)

Alpha Flight ?? Alpha Flight ! ALPHA FLIIIIIGHT !!!!!!!

Posted by: Pipou50 on 7/23/2013 12:09:17 PM
@LE - Wendigo has white fur. IMO, that is Sasquatch of Alpha Flight. the other guy is Dread Knight. The solicitations for gravity feed, full set and Thor the Dark World sets as well are here:

It would not appear that there are team base super boosters included. I know that may change as it gets closer, but I wonder if Wizkids is listening to the fans that are disgruntled with the team base mechanics.

Posted by: henryhyde on 7/23/2013 11:50:35 AM
It will be nice to see some updates of Iron Man villains.

Posted by: Tony Antoniuk on 7/23/2013 11:00:32 AM
Cool, more Iron Man sculptswaitwhatamIsaying? Dials aside, this is where dynamic sculpts really become make or break for me.
