Godzilla Movie Review HeroClix WorldThe King of Monsters Returns and He’s Never Looked Better!

When early promos for Godzilla first surfaced, I had good feelings about the prospect. Based on the trailer alone, I expected this movie would be a blockbuster. At the very least, this movie would be nostalgic for the sheer spectacle of it all. What I didn’t expect, was just how well-crafted Godzilla would turn out to be.

Enter Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) -- a nuclear power plant engineer who’s convinced his colleagues are covering up one of the biggest secrets of all time. Before Joe has the opportunity to confront his superiors, a mysterious meltdown devastates the plant and part of Joe’s family.

Fifteen years later, Joe’s son Ford (Arron Taylor Johnson), a Navy demolitions technician, learns that his father has been arrested for trespassing at the old meltdown sight. Ford travels to Japan in an attempt to persuade his father to give up his obsessive behavior. Shortly after his arrival, Ford realizes his father’s not some delusional crack pot after all; and the entire world will soon know the truth. Now Ford races to return to his wife Ellie (Elizabeth Olsen) and their son Sam.

This movie was better then I expected. And that was because I went to watch this with low expectations only to be blown away. Yes there are a few problems with the story line and yes they focused way to much on the human characters, just like trasformers, it was stiol a good movie with several nice nods to the orginal godzilla series like mothra and Dr. Serizawa.

Godzilla 2014 was a piece of garbage. Everytime the fights where getting good it just cut back to the crappy human storyline! Godzilla had like 10 minutes on the screen. The older godzilla movies where better.

I'm sorry, (not really) but i can't give this movie ANYTHING but a 4 of 5 rating.

@princeoforphans

How exactly were you "duped" into seeing Godzilla or any movie for that matter. Did you expect a movie based on the concept of a giant lizard rampaging through cities to a redeeming story beyond entertainment value?

Anyway, for me the movie way a hit. It nailed the concept and treated its narrative as serious as possible.

Very Entertaining!

In my opinion anyone who is just interested in big budget movies with cool CGI that have nothing redeeming in the way of a story or have no story at all should just buy and watch the cool CGIs and perdictable stories of video games. Then they can watch and be impressed over and over in their own homes and the rest of us won't have to be duped by big budgetvideo games promoted as movies.

In my opinon, anyone who came away from this movie unhappy, did not want to see a big budget Godzilla film.

This was the worst movie I've seen in a long time. All the worst super-hero movies and the Matt Broderick version of Godzilla combined wasn't as inane and boring as this movie. Horrible!
